O próprio Crywolf diz: Fawn is a song about feeling cursed; how darkness is not always chosen. It deals with the brokenness that comes from feeling betrayed and abandoned by life, and the pain a person can inflict on the people they love as a result of that brokenness. E isto tem uma razão de ser.
When Crywolf first started releasing music he went through periods of homelessness, living in a room the size of a closet, and subsisting on food stamps. He’s come a long way since those days, accumulating millions of streams, headlining the legendary Sherwood Forest stage at Electric Forest, and gaining support from tastemakers such as The FADER, Vice, Consequence of Sound, Alternative Press, Billboard, NYLON, and Complex.
The world of Crywolf is cinematic and surreal, a cacophony that sweeps you off your feet, taking you into the dark abyss one moment and into heavenly rapture the next. Melodies telling of internal wastelands lull the listener into a trance-like state. It’s a fully immersive experience.

In a flash, the wicked won
Oh the moment seemed so, moment seemed so clear
I’ll rest your weary head beside my own
I will take these clothes and cover you my dear
God bless your soul, he has not blessed mine
I’m a seizure
I’m a flash of light
I’ll caress you more
Than fathers of your own
I’m the reaper
I’ll have your soul
I’ll break your holy heart
Till you’re lonely and forlorn
With all your oaths
You’re my dark
My rain
My smolder
My fawn
I will take these clothes and cover you my dear
God bless your soul, he has not blessed mine
