Do to me is our contribution to the promised land of dirt pop… dark, suggestive and sexually charged. However, the tune grew out of a completely different background as the original riff came from Bea humming a melody she was writing as a children’s tune! As soon as it got played with a filthy, distorted bass sound though it became something else entirely!
Musically I suppose it’s a mix of a lot of our influences. A nod towards The Kills and PJ Harvey, amongst others. The lyrics of our songs always grow out of the music for us.. It’s the tune – the melody and the atmosphere that decides the subject matter.
You make me wanna lose control.
Torn up like a ragged doll.
I will drink your pain,
Bite my lips unchained.
Be my acid rain my love.
I’m crawling on the floor for you,
Sacrificed and black and blue.
Nails and skin and hair,
I will be your prayer,
Your fever and your danger zone.
It’s what you do,
It’s what you do now
It’s what you do,
It’s what you do now
You’re falling, you’re a burning star.
Drown in aphrodisia.
Cover me destroyed,
Staring in the void,
Chaos running down my face.
I’m crawling on the floor help me.
Oblivion and ecstacy,
I can taste the life,
Colours in my eyes,
Soiled and stained and satisfied.
It’s what you do,
It’s what you do now
It’s what you do,
It’s what you do now
Mutilate my body,
Praying to your diety,
Wide eyed suicide,
Following the hips sway,
Burning out the energy,
Low down dirty lie,
My body thinks that I am Christ.
It’s what you do,
It’s what you do now
It’s what you do,
It’s what you do now
