Confesso que acho esta parte completamente inspiradora: Maybe my confidence finally catches up to me / I’m only seconds ahead of my insecurities / You dont know the distance ive gone / The fear of loss is different up front. É caso para dizer: “quem nunca?”. Ouçam e deixem-se contagiar por esta febre deliciosa!

Mais sobre a banda: Ember Oceans blew onto the Chicago indie rock scene like a fresh tropical breeze. Their synth-pop is catchy. Their aesthetic is sharp. And their shows are always a vibrant display of energy and audience engagement. With its warm poppy grooves, the band’s 2015 self-titled EP brought “a freshness to the recent resurgence of ’80s-colored rock,” according to Brian Shamie of the Daily Herald. The release of “Caught Up!” in early 2017 took fans down a more funky road, and with Freddy Purcell, Joe Cox, Parker Simonaitis and Sean Groebe behind the wheel, upcoming releases are sure to be a treat of a trip.

You dont know the first thing about me, no
You dont, you dont know what i think about ya
There’s no way to tell you this easily
And leave you be peacefully
I’ll get on the first flight out of here
Find a way to disappear
I’m not turning around
I dont care if theres no round of applause
When im up in first place all by myself
First place all by myself
Maybe my confidence finally catches up to me
I’m only seconds ahead of my insecurities
You dont know the distance ive gone
The fear of loss is different up front
I’ll fly home and visit once a year
Bring you back
Some cheap plastic souvenirs
I’m not turning around, nah
I dont care if theres no round of applause
When im up in first place all by myself, yeah
First place all by myself
I wanna win for once
I wanna win for once, yeah
I wanna win by myself
I’ve been getting homesick
Living in my hometown
Emotional breakdown
Look for an escape route
I remember sunburn days
Out on the playground
Where i got my first kiss
Where i learned what sex is
Maybe im ready
Maybe im ahead of myself
I need to spend some time alone
So i can figure it out
Im not gonna stop-
And turn it around, nah
I dont care if theres no round of applause
When im in my first place all by myself, yeah
First place all by myself
I wanna win for once
I wanna win for once, yeah
I wanna win by myself
