Sobre o tema a artista conta: “This song came from a time in my life last year when I was feeling confused about the unknown. I had just been rejected from a prestigious music school and was feeling completely lost. I thought I had my future planned out and was so focused on what I thought would be best for me. ‘Forest Through The Trees’ is me coming to the realization that if you focus too closely on one thing, you’ll lose sight of the big picture.”

A distant little dream
Floating in my mind
Reaching out to touch
Then it fades into the night
Pre-Chorus:
It’s in my soul
It’s in my soul
It’s in my soul
I can feel it
Why is there no
Why is there no
Why is there no
No direction
Chorus:
Help me
I can’t see the forest through the trees
I am searching for that feeling
Trying to find the hidden meaning
I’m caught up in the leaves and the green
I can’t see the forest through the trees
Verse 2:
Tangled in the mess
Sinking down into the sand
Just cause you hit the ground
Doesn’t mean you can’t rise again
Pre-Chorus:
It’s in my soul
It’s in my soul
It’s in my soul
I can feel it
Why is there no
Why is there no
Why is there no
No direction
